Anyone who knows me, knows that I love food. I love to eat it, of course. But I also love making it. Cooking and baking is a stress release for me. I’m always trying new recipes, experimenting with different ingredients. And sharing the food I make with people who are important to me is my favorite way to show my love and appreciation for them.
I’ve been vegetarian off and on for much of my life. I still enjoy fish every so often, so I guess pescatarian would be more accurate. My daughter chose to stop eating meat when she was 8. At the end of middle school, she decided to become a vegan. I wanted to make sure she was getting all the nutrients she needed, so I started exploring vegan recipes and websites.
Several of the posts on vegan eating came from The Wheel Traveler, because now whenever we travel, we also make a point of looking for vegan restaurants or places with more than one vegan option. I’ll also be adding links from some of our favorite recipes and blogs. There are a LOT of great vegan bloggers and others who post great vegan recipes so it’s been fun discovering new ways to experiment with veggies. Hope you find some that you enjoy, too!
